Generational Impact: Raising Worship Leaders at Citychurch
At Citychurch, our Music Academy bridges generations by uniting kids, teens, and adults in worship. My work focuses on guiding children and youth as they discover musical gifts and embrace heartfelt worship, all supporting our mission to cultivate lifelong worship leaders.
The most rewarding aspect is witnessing young musicians begin serving. As they learn to play instruments and sing, they develop skills and a genuine understanding of worship. My role is to help them grow musically and spiritually, laying a foundation for lifelong worship and service—a key aim of our ministry.
As these young musicians grow in teamwork, responsibility, and humility, I focus on supporting both their musical and spiritual journeys. Their development in faith and skill reflects our main purpose: making worship a meaningful, everyday part of life and leadership.
This ministry doesn’t just teach music; it draws families closer through shared faith, perseverance, creativity, and leadership. Parents join in moments of blessing, reinforcing how worship becomes a central part of life at Citychurch—one that shapes homes, schools, and communities.
I am grateful to walk with these young worshippers as we learn together that worship is about sincere hearts, not perfection. Every song nurtures the next generation of leaders who make worship central to our church’s life and future.
Citychurch’s Music Ministry and Academy is a place where faith, mentorship, and service come together to develop young worship leaders. I am thankful to witness God’s work in their lives and hope each child and teen finds joy and purpose in being part of a legacy of worship.
