Meet Pastor Renato – Leading Citychurch Music Academy

Hello friends,

My name is Renato, and I have the privilege of serving as the Music Pastor here at Citychurch. Music and ministry have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up as a pastor’s kid, I was surrounded by worship and the life of the church. When I was just 7 years old, I picked up my very first instrument — an acoustic guitar — and that began a lifelong journey of serving the Lord through music.

Over the years, God has opened doors for me to study and grow both academically and spiritually. I graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute, where I studied in the School of Worship and Technical Arts, and later earned a Bachelor of Science and Arts with a concentration in Biblical Studies and Music Ministry. These experiences shaped my heart not only for excellence in music, but also for raising up the next generation of worshipers.

I have served as both Associate Pastor and Music Pastor in different seasons of ministry, always with one goal: to help people encounter Jesus through music and to equip others to use their gifts for His glory.

Here at CityChurch, my vision is not only to lead worship on Sundays but also to help build a culture where people encounter God’s presence in powerful ways. Worship is not performance — it’s participation. The band and singers are only facilitators, while the whole church lifts their voices in praise together.

That vision is what fuels the launch of our new Citychurch Music Academy. Our dream is to create a place where children and youth can grow in their musical abilities while also deepening their walk with Christ. But to make this dream a reality, we need your help.

We are praying for the resources to remodel a classroom into a comfortable and inspiring environment for our students. We also need instruments like a keyboard, acoustic guitar, electronic drums, and bass guitar to equip our young musicians.

Would you prayerfully consider being part of this journey? Whether through prayer, support, or volunteering, your involvement will help us raise up worshipers who will impact Amarillo — and beyond — for Jesus.

Together, we can build something that will bless generations to come.

With gratitude,
Pastor Renato Silva
